The Fairy Saddle

The Fairy Saddle

Long, long ago in the days of yore,
It might've been sooner, or not before,
Along a mountain track there came,
A gallant Corgi of quite some fame.
And there beside the track he spied
A maiden fair, who to him cried,
"Oh kindly Corgi, here my plea;
I've fallen off my horse you see.
And so before you further roam
Would you, please sir, take me home?"
So said the Corgi, "I do confess;
How could I leave you in distress?
So climb upon my back fair maid
I'll take you home as you have bade."
And so the Corgi started forth;
"My home's a castle to the north."
They journeyed there, and at her door
She cried, "I should have said before,
I'm a fairy princess sir, you see,
And for you kindness to me,
I'll leave upon your back
All traces of the fairy tack."
And till this day you still can find
The fairy's saddle to remind,
How the Corgi helped the princess fair,
And just as well for You will care.

Birds and Stereotypes: India

Hello! It's the end of the semester, and that means it's time to start posting again. This is the beginning of a series I am calling "Birds and Stereotypes." I think you can guess what the series is about, huh?

don't let the bed bugs bite

Gosh, how long has it been since I last posted? I supposed I've been busy stressing about losing my job and owing a lot of money to the school and AAAHH.

So anyway, I made something. Or... remade something. This was for a project a few years ago, and I just remade it for my portfolio. Enjoy!

Sorry

I have failed very hard at crafting this summer. I'd like to get at least ONE thing done before the summer ends, but I doubt it will happen. I think I work best in friend craft situations.

My buddy Karly is coming over tomorrow to teach me how to crochet! Maybe there will be pictures involved, maybe there won't. SUSPENSE.

Get 'em!

I made this dude! He's part of a series of dudes that are preparing attacks on transportation. This one isn't done yet, I still need to add the airplane and clouds. The last one is going to be a lizardy beast and a train. I can't wait to get it done, I have so many projects buzzing in my brain!

Here is the first guy. Cycloptopus and a sailboat!

Until next time, my pretty(s)!

For my next trick..

Earrings! Same basic idea as the necklaces, but much more petite. I'm really proud of these little guys! They are surprisingly comfortable, and not as heavy as I thought they would be. Now look at them next to my face.

In case you were curious, these are the paintings behind me in that picture. I did them aaaaaallll by myself!

Have a good week everybody! Hopefully I'll get pictures of my cute succulents before they all die. I don't have much confidence in myself. One of them is growing like crazy, and I'm afraid he's going to fall over. Ahhh! Kat got me the coolest aloe plant though, he looks like he's being blown by the wind.

First Post Jitters

My first post, holy smokes! I've just moved, so crafting and arting had been put on the back burner for a while. I made some necklaces before the move, but hadn't gotten around to taking pictures until yesterday. Here they are!

I have more posted on my etsy!
